Paleogene Period

The Plants

The plants that we had during the Paleogene period are very similar to the ones we have today. That is because the warm climate at the beggining of the the period was perfeect for the dense forest plants to grow.

The Animals

As many of the large reptiles were wiped out, mammals became the dominant animal. This led to many of todays mammals being  created. Some examples are dogs, cats, pigs, whales, and many more.
